this is an oldie oldie oldie from five years ago. done w/ 35mm SLR, processed on fiber paper. i had a friend take shots while i was driving. i had no real intent on content it just felt like the right thing to do at the time.

art is very interesting in china. all of mainstream chinese art is replication. repeat what’s been done and repeat it well. to find actual art made from thought, feelings, emotions and the search for the misunderstood and understood, you have to crawl back in alleyways to find it. these artists are true revolutionaries. they are studying western art and falling apart at the creativity. they love it and are thinking outside of the box the government has created. these people usually change studios every few months to stay away off the radar. very cool.
